As Partnership Director, you will lead strategic initiatives that strengthen collaboration, drive profitability, and elevate performance across Royal Mail International and its most critical network partners. This is a pivotal role focused on optimising inbound and outbound Quality of Service, delivering innovative products and services, and shaping a partnership framework that enables sustainable growth across import flows into the UK and export flows to the EU, North America, and Asia.
Beyond managing our largest network relationship, you will champion the development of new global partnerships that deliver differentiated value, unlock new opportunities, and enhance Royal Mail's competitive position in international markets.
About The Role
- Build and evolve strategic relationships with key global partners, ensuring alignment and mutual growth.
- Drive product and service innovation to meet changing customer and market needs.
- Oversee cost management and commercial alignment, working closely with Legal, Finance, and Procurement to optimise profitability and manage risk.
- Monitor and improve end-to-end Quality of Service across international flows.
- Act as the central orchestrator for internal engagement, ensuring teams are informed, aligned, and equipped to leverage partnership opportunities.
- Lead the negotiation and evolution of network partner agreements to reflect changing market and regulatory dynamics.
About You
- Strong commercial acumen and experience negotiating complex international agreements.
- Deep understanding of the global parcels market and competitor landscape.
- Proven ability to manage strategic relationships and deliver results in a multi-market, multicultural environment.
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving landscape.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (Master's preferred). Working knowledge of German or another foreign language is an advantage.
