Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Van Driver to join our team as a full-time / part-time driver. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while ensuring excellent communication with both warehouse staff and customers. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of all materials.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, date, and any discrepancies.
  • Perform routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Assist with warehouse duties as required, including heavy lifting and organising stock.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Valid Full UK Manual Car Driver's licence with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) safely and efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
  • A proactive attitude towards safety and compliance with regulations is essential.
