About the Role

Shoshi Design is a boutique interior design studio specialising in medium to high-end residential projects. Our work is creative, thoughtful, and tailored to reflect each client's unique style and needs. We're a small, ambitious team committed to design excellence and clear, elegant presentation – from concept to completion.

We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician with strong SketchUp and InDesign proficiency to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical and visual side of interior design and takes pride in producing accurate, beautiful, and well-organised work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and manage all technical drawings using AutoCAD
  • Develop detailed floor plans, elevations, and joinery drawings
  • Produce 3D models and visuals using SketchUp
  • Collate and format design presentation booklets in InDesign
  • Work closely with the design team to translate concepts into clear documentation
  • Maintain organised drawing files and project folders

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience using AutoCAD and SketchUp.

We are looking for candidates with fluent proficiency in both programs—this role is not suitable for recent graduates.

  • Strong working knowledge of InDesign & Photoshop is also essential.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills – especially when collating and presenting information
  • Previous experience in residential interior design projects is a plus
  • Qualification in Interior Design (Degree or Diploma required); background in Architecture is a plus.
  • Strong mathematical and spatial skills, with the ability to interpret and produce accurate technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of construction processes and materials is preferred.
