The Systems Change Analyst is a critical role within the Digital and Systems teams here at Howdens and is responsible for planning, managing, and embedding digital and systems change across our technology and modernisation programmes. This role will ensure that business stakeholders are engaged, prepared, and supported to successfully adopt changes that deliver measurable business value.

Working closely with stream-aligned teams, including Product Owners and Business Analysts, alongside the wider project teams, the Systems Change Analyst will drive consistent approaches to Digital and Systems change, stakeholder management and associated communications. This role is critical to ensuring that initiatives achieve their intended outcomes and benefits.

The team work in the office 4 days a week with 1 from home.

What you'll be doing as a Systems Change Analyst:

  • Collaborate with stream teams and the wider project teams to understand the impact of digital changes, systems upgrades, and technology-driven change. Ensure that change is managed, stakeholders are informed and engaged, and new systems and developments are adopted across initiatives.
  • Develop clear change frameworks that can be adopted by the wider business to ensure that change is considered and approached in a consistent manner.
  • Put in place clear change management measures to ensure that change is effective and well managed across our projects.
  • Develop and execute change management plans for key projects, tailored to technology and systems implementations, including where appropriate communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support key business areas to adopt change management frameworks and oversee the change implementation,
  • Conduct change impact assessments and readiness analyses to support effective transition planning.
  • Build relationships with business leads and technology champions to drive ownership of system-related change initiatives.
  • Lead the development of continuous improvement of change frameworks, tools, and templates to align with best practices and embed these across the team.

What We Are Looking For From You

  • Proven experience delivering change management in large-scale, multi-site organisations.
  • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Strong understanding of agile and hybrid delivery models and their impact on requirements, product ownership, and change enablement
  • Experience in planning and executing change initiatives within technology-driven programmes.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing short-term needs and long-term strategic goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex messages.
  • Familiarity with agile and hybrid delivery environments and their impact on change planning and adoption.
  • Relevant qualifications in Change Management (e.g. APMG) or related disciplines are desirable or a desire to complete one of these formal qualifications.
