Here at GXO, we're looking for a
Warehouse Operations Shift Controller
to join us at our Diageo site in
Runcorn
. You'll provide leadership and guidance for your team of warehouse colleagues to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication and addressing operational issues effectively.

This is a full time, permanent position, where you'll be working rotating shifts of 2 days and 2 nights on, 5 days off, 2 days & 3 nights on and 4 days off, 3 days & 2 nights on and 5 days off, all shifts are 12 hours (07:00-19:00 and 19:00-07:00)

We're looking to offer a salary of up to
£40,621.92
per annum (Inclusive of night shift allowance), and 20 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you'll do on a typical day:

• Ensure that day-to-day operational changes are incorporated into the department standards
• Continuously strive to improve the operational effectiveness of the site, to ensure high quality of service to customers
• Ensure all colleagues comply with company procedures and are aware of their own responsibilities to others
• Monitoring key performance indicators for the area

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience leading a team of warehouse colleagues within a large, fast-paced warehouse environment
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams to ensure excellent performance
• The ability to work to the highest levels of safety, service, accuracy and quality. IOSH Manging safely would be desirable
• An understanding of key operational cost drivers and cost centre management
