Infrastructure Engineer

Salford, Salford, United Kingdom Razorblue Group Full time £45,000 - £50,000 per year

razorblue role:

We are looking for an
Infrastructure Engineer – Consulting
to join our growing team of like-minded tech people. Should you choose to accept, your responsibilities will encompass delivering real-world solutions that make a difference for our clients. You'll get involved in everything from project planning through to delivery and handover, all while working alongside a supportive and knowledgeable team.

Typical projects include a mix of on-premise and cloud work, so no two days are the same. You might be configuring new cloud services, migrating Microsoft 365 environments, deploying or upgrading virtual servers, installing and securing firewalls, setting up VPNs, or implementing backup and disaster recovery solutions. There's plenty of variety, and you'll often be hands-on with new technologies, helping clients modernise their systems and improve reliability, performance, and security.

Project Delivery (80%)

  • Delivering implementation projects that meet scope, budget, and time targets
  • Producing clear, professional documentation to support both clients and internal teams
  • Managing effective handovers to Service Delivery to ensure a seamless transition
  • Implementing new technologies that add real value to client environments

Project Planning  (20%)

  • Scoping and Planning successful projects

Our perfect candidate should have a wealth of knowledge spanning various technologies and being able to use these skills to troubleshoot and deliver five star solutions that keep our clients happy is a must

This role involves some evening and weekend work when projects or customer requirements call for it. We plan these sessions in advance wherever possible, and they form a standard part of the role. You'll need to be comfortable with a bit of flexibility and understand that sometimes the best time to deliver or cut over a system is outside of standard business hours.

Customer service is paramount to us, which is why we only look for candidates with excellent customer facing skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Your friendly tech-savviness will truly shine here.

razorblue requirements:

We know its unrealistic to find someone who ticks all of these boxes (extra points if you do), which is why we seek those eager to develop over time through our development resources and peer learning. If this aligns with your own personal growth mindset, we would love you to apply.
