As one of Europe's fastest growing digital banking apps, our values of being Brave, Enterprising, Simple, and Together (BEST) ensure our 500-strong team collaborate to drive a brighter, greener future.  Your team: Collaborators in change  Reporting to the Senior Reconciliations Manager, the Reconciliations Specialist will be responsible for supporting the reconciliation of savings and loan portfolio balances as well as the corresponding bank accounts. Led by our Senior Reconciliations Manager, the Payment and Reconciliations team are at the core of the Bank and are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely application of payments to customer accounts as well as ensuring that robust reconciliation is completed between customer accounts and our internal bank accounts dedicated to each of the products we offer.   What you will be working on: Reconcile Loan Management System payment data with multiple bank accounts daily, including processing payments such as BACS, Cheques, Direct Debits, Card Payments and ensure the accounting system reflects the correct transactions Identify discrepancies between data sets, the respective root causes and communicate with internal/external stakeholders' necessary action to resolve Ensure queries and escalations are handled correctly and promptly through to appropriate resolution Check emails daily and respond in a timely manner where necessary Supporting month end processes and reporting Adhere to Tandem's internal policies and procedures  Proactively challenge existing processes and take ownership for implementing positive changes which are within own span of control Actively contribute to the achievement of the Operational team and Tandem's objectives Keep up to date with all Company/regulatory changes particularly those which affect own business area Contribute to mapping and maintaining End-to-end processes, including creating training guides for all tasks associated withing the department What we're looking for: Essential: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, Reference Functions) Able to identify and accurately process transactions from customers/third parties on loan management systems  Recent and proven experience of understanding savings/loan transactions and financial reconciliation against each savings / loan record and respective internal bank accounts Proven organisational and planning skills with an ability to work independently to complete assigned tasks Qualities we look for: Great interpersonal skills; you'll need to build relationships with a wide variety of people.A personable manner, passion and adaptability are all important. Demonstrable attention to detail Rewards that reflect your value, what's in it for you?  At Tandem, your hard work is rewarded in many ways and we have an enhanced employee benefits package on offer from your very first day with us:  25 days annual leave plus 8 days Bank Holiday   1 celebration day off for your birthday or additional religious calendar event   Buy or sell up to 5 days holiday a year Healthcare cash plan through Westfield Health worth a minimum of £750 per year Electric Vehicle salary sacrifice scheme    Cycle to Work salary sacrifice scheme and a free helmet   Salary sacrifice Pension contribution*, 4% employee contributions matched with 4% Tandem contribution (*Subject to salary eligibility) Smart Tech scheme (buy goods with 0% interest) 10% discount on solar panels Tandem Hub for treats, cash back and discounts on UK retailers    2 days per year paid volunteering    Free cereal, snacks and drinks in all offices Quarterly team social budgets Our Green Deal: Your Impact Amplified  A little welcome gift from us to you, we'll plant a tree in the Tandem Grove and you can enter into our "Green Deal" below: Volunteer 2 days a year for charity > receive an early Friday finish  Raise £200 per annum for charity > Tandem provide PR and marketing support  Have renewable energy at home > receive an additional 1 day annual leave  Drive an electric car > receive £500 towards a home chargerReady to make your mark?  Apply now and let's pave the way to a greener world, together.
