We Do Group are working with a founder led, experience driven consumer business operating across hospitality and multisite venues, with a strong focus on customer experience and operational delivery.

The business is growing and evolving, with an expanding estate and increasing operational complexity. While a permanent Finance Director is being recruited, they are now looking to appoint an Interim Financial Controller to ensure the finance function continues to run smoothly and to a high standard.

This is a hands on BAU interim assignment in a business that values pace, ownership and clear financial insight.

THE ROLE

You will step in as the senior finance lead, taking ownership of day to day finance delivery and ensuring reporting, analysis and deadlines are consistently met.

This is not a transformation or system implementation role. The focus is on strong fundamentals, clear reporting and providing confidence to the leadership team while the permanent FD hire runs in parallel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the month end close and management reporting process
  • Ensure reporting is timely, accurate and consistent
  • Maintain strong control over costs and revenue performance
  • Produce clear analysis and performance commentary
  • Partner closely with operations and marketing teams on spend, promotions and performance
  • Prepare board packs and senior management information
  • Maintain cash visibility and short term forecasting
  • Act as the senior finance point of contact during the interim period

YOUR PROFILE

  • Proven experience as an Interim Financial Controller or senior finance lead
  • Strong month end, reporting and analytical capability
  • Comfortable owning BAU finance in a fast paced, operational business
  • Experience partnering with operational and commercial teams
  • Hands on, present and comfortable in the detail
  • Calm, organised and deadline focused

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • Multisite hospitality, venues, leisure or retail environments
  • Founder led or investor backed businesses
  • Experience supporting leadership teams through periods of growth or change

QUALIFICATIONS

Fully Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
