We are currently building a team of knowledgeable and ambitious individuals to grow our Distribution and Support Centre in Birmingham, West Midlands. As a Technical Support Technician, you will help to support our customers and supply our products. It will be a varied role that requires exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge along with warehouse operations and product assembly.

This is a full-time permanent position, covering 40 hours per week between 08:30 and 17:00 Monday to Friday, at our Birmingham site.

Responsibilities

Technical Support:

  • Respond to technical customer questions, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, striving for first time resolutions.
  • Document technical issues and resolutions clearly and concisely.
  • Diagnose faults and place orders for parts.
  • Use ERP software programs and databases.
  • Building Bespoke Wheelchairs to order.
  • Programming of Wheelchairs.
  • Quality Checking of finished products.

Warehouse:

  • Unload containers and deliveries, quality checking goods received.
  • Report any stock discrepancies that are identified and help correct when required.
  • Palletise & wrap products in an efficient way to maximise warehouse space.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as, pallets trucks, loading ramps and production line safely.
  • Pick, pack and prepare orders for shipping.
  • Inventory cycle counts and stock management.
  • Use Warehouse management systems to ensure stock remains correct, bin movements and issuing materials.
  • Keep warehouse organised and clean to maintain standards.

Requirements

  • Essential - Technical mindset, good communication skills, be physically able to lift heavy components, have good attention to detail and be a problem solver.
  • Essential - Qualifications and experience in Mechanical, Electrical or Mobility Engineering.
  • Desired - Knowledge of mobility products
  • Desired - Mechanical and Electrical competency
