About The Role
As a Home Design Stylist, you'll work with and inspire customers to find the perfect home decor they'll fall in love with. Helping to drive sales and profit across our home departments and deliver the very best, personalised shopping experience expected of the John Lewis brand.
Key Responsibilities
You'll be working on a number of different customer projects at any one time and your daily responsibilities will include: - Take full ownership of every new project that comes your way, providing a special and personalised experience for every customer. - Building rapport with your customers to really understand their needs and taste's and using your expert knowledge of home design to create and inspire stunning home decor for their homes. - Following trends and keeping up-to-date with the latest design concepts and themes. - Supporting the wider team to deliver an excellent shopping experience, helping customers and performing general shop keeping tasks. - Using your knowledge of home design to coach other Partners which, in turn, helps create a unique shopping experience that can only be found at John Lewis.
Essential skills/experience you'll need
- Full UK driving licence (may not be required for some locations). - A deep understanding and passion for the interior design industry. - Great computer literacy skills. - Ability to use IT systems to communicate with customers, process orders, and complete customer tracking (e.g. Excel, Word, and email).
Desirable skills/experience you may have
- Design-related qualification equivalent to a degree. - Member of a professional body, such as the Association of Interior Design. - Previous experience using design and creative packages such as Computer Assisted Design (CAD) and 3D roomstyler. - Experience measuring, estimating, and fitting window treatments. - Previous experience in interior design roles.
