Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
  • Assist in meal planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and seasonality
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering strictly to food safety regulations
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy periods
  • Ensure all food is presented attractively and served promptly to guests
  • Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients
  • Support training of junior staff members as needed, fostering a positive team environment

Experience

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting
  • Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
  • Experience with various cooking techniques across different cuisines is desirable
  • Previous experience serving guests or working in customer-facing roles within the hospitality industry is advantageous
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
