Job Description: Oxbridge Summer Scholars Student Supervisors

We are currently seeking multiple Student Supervisors to join our Dec, 2025 programme. It's a full-time in-person position, including working weekends and evenings.

  • 8-20 Dec, Oxford


What are the main responsibilities for this role?

  • Overall responsibility for the safeguarding of students and student behaviour
  • Resident in college for all weeks of the programme plus an additional preparation day; eating meals in college with students and staff.
  • Run timetabled evening activities and weekend excursions for students (with Programme Manager)
  • Assist Programme Manager and Head of Programme with administrative tasks so OSS runs smoothly day-to-day (e.g. report student attendance from each seminar, print materials for tutors)
  • Assist students' arrivals and departures; show them to their rooms, help them settle in
  • Taking initiative to deal with situations such as student illness; travel issues etc
  • Monitor student whereabouts and curfew at 10pm each evening
  • Capture daily photo/video content that can be used for our social media
  • 24 hour emergency contact for students

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with high school students preferable 
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for enhanced DBS.
