We are seeking individuals with a keen interest in becoming a patent attorney to join our Summer Internship programme at our London office.

Established in 1927, Cleveland Scott York is a firm of patent and trade mark attorneys. We provide intellectual property services to a wide range of clients, including multi-national corporations, start-ups and SMEs. We are proud to have protected some of the most important inventions of the last 100 years. We're a progressive firm with a knowledge-sharing culture and a reputation for excellence in training and professional development.

During the week-long internship, successful candidates will gain insights into the creation, enforcement and defence of a patent portfolio as well as freedom to operate analyses.

Criteria

  • In penultimate or final year of (or has recently achieved) a STEM degree.
  • Considering a career as a Patent Attorney.
  • First-class communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to conceptualize complex situations.
  • A keen interest in technological progress.

Duration

One week commencing late June/early July 2026.
