Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Edinburgh Office Hybrid

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

THE TEAM

You'll be part of a tight-knit IT team that's central to keeping GoFibre running smoothly. We're not just about fixing things-we're about building smart, scalable systems that support our growth and help our people do their best work. You'll work alongside a full team and subject matter experts, bouncing ideas around and solving problems together. It's a collaborative space where everyone's trusted to take ownership and share ideas.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON
  • Keeping our hybrid infrastructure in top shape-covering virtualisation (HCI/VM clusters), Azure, and core services
  • Driving reliability through Infrastructure as Code, smart monitoring and alerting
  • Partnering with DevOps to improve automation and deployment pipelines
  • Acting as a key escalation point for helpdesk issues to keep BAU flowing
  • Creating and maintaining clear documentation and runbooks for safe change and fast recovery
  • Supporting Linux servers, Azure environments and Microsoft 365
  • Collaborating with Cybersecurity and Network Ops to ensure performance, security and compliance
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
  • Proven experience in Infrastructure, Cloud or DevOps engineering
  • Strong hands-on skills with Azure DevOps, Networking, Terraform and scripting
  • Solid understanding of Linux, virtualisation, Azure and Microsoft 365
  • Adaptable, proactive and always keen to learn
  • Professional, accurate and reliable in everything you do
