Mechanical Commissioning Technician – Sellafield

The Commissioning Technician reports to the Commissioning Engineer. The Commissioning Technician will not have commissioning personnel reporting to him.

The Commissioning Technician is responsible for:

Ensuring Safety is the highest priority on the project with a continued strive towards Zero Harm. He ensures that he is a role model for all aspects of safety, ensuring a proactive approach to nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental safetyCarrying out all testing activities throughout all stages of commissioningContributing to the production of test documentationContributing to the initiation and implementation of FOBs and TQsPerforming testing activities for witnessing by third partiesApplication and removal of Temporary Commissioning AidsContributing to the recording of supporting data in accordance with test requirementsAbility to utilise completions management systems to manage commissioning activitiesAbility to perform commissioning work against a project scheduleAbility to take part in multi discipline design reviews and work with the engineering team

Qualifications:



Time served or equivalent in an engineering discipline e.g. piping, mechanical or electrical disciplinePreference for ONC or equivalent or route to achieve the qualification Project commissioning experienceIOSH Working Safely or equivalentRelevant trade card

Requirements:



The ability to obtain BPSS, P4 pass and achieve any other client security requirements is essential.

Working Pattern: Shift pattern rolling 4 on / 4 off 12 hours
