What you'll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Drive the refactoring of existing C# marketing related applications into Python to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Integrate Snowplow Snowbridge for real-time data ingestion and processing.
  • Develop and maintain applications that validate and send data to APIs (Appsflyer, Firebase, sGTM etc.).
  • Design and implement robust cloud-based solutions with Azure, including alerting, queueing, buffering and failing mechanisms.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of data pipelines to support global operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust data workflows that align with business objectives.
  • Bonus: Experience with JavaScript is highly desirable, as you will work with marketing and analytics tags and collaborate on Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementations.

Essential skills you'll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Given the complexity of the tasks (refactoring, real-time data integration, API communication, Azure deployment, and ensuring reliability), this role requires someone with significant experience in:
  • Proficiency in Python development, including experience with frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services such as Event Hub, Functions, or Data Factory.
  • Expertise in real-time data processing frameworks.  API integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of API integrations and data validation techniques. 
  • Proven ability to design and maintain scalable data pipelines. 
  • In addition to technical expertise, the role also demands strong soft skills, including effective communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment.

Desirable skills you've got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some the following skills:

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ. 
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g. Grafana, Prometheus).
  • Knowledge of data validation and transformation best practices.
  • Experience working in regulated industries or handling sensitive customer data is a strong advantage.
