Kingsbridge Estate Agents is looking for an addition to their small but friendly team to work in their busy office in the centre of Kingsbridge. The role is predominantly for the Lettings team but as we are a small business, support is required in all areas, especially for holiday cover.

The role involves supporting the all aspects of the Lettings process as outlined below:

  • Conduct property viewings and provide prospective tenants with clear, accurate information
  • Maintain regular contact with landlords and applicants, ensuring excellent customer service
  • Manage enquiries promptly via phone, email, and online platforms
  • Produce and update property listings, ensuring accuracy and strong presentation
  • Handle tenancy applications, references, and required documentation
  • Negotiate tenancy terms between landlords and applicants
  • Handle maintenance issues by liaising with tenants and approved contractors, ensuring timely resolution and then reporting back to the Landlord
  • Carry out 6-monthly inspections for Managed properties and prepare inspection reports to send to Landlords
  • Ensure compliance with current lettings legislation, safety requirements, and best practices
  • Manage end-of-tenancy procedures, including arranging check-outs and occasionally performing them
  • Ensure all paper and computer files are accurate and up to date at all times
  • Take incoming sales calls when the sales team is busy, ensuring callers receive appropriate assistance
  • Carry out basic sales administration tasks (e.g., updating CRM records, scanning paperwork) during peak periods
  • Assist with general office duties to ensure smooth running of the branch and any other ad hoc tasks as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience of working within a Lettings role is essential
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Confident handling phone enquiries and working in a fast-paced environment
  • IT Literate (previous experience of using CRMs & Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to multitask and manage workload effectively
  • Proactive, professional, and team-focused attitude
  • Full UK driving licence required and access to your own vehicle

Full training will be provided but it is essential to have previous experience of working within a Lettings team previously. We would also require the successful candidate to undertake professional training (online) which will be paid for by the Company.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am until 5:15pm.

Saturday viewings by appointment only. Time off in lieu available for the hours worked.

We would be happy to accept applications for part time hours too, minimum 24 hours per week. Please add to you application the hours that you would prefer.

Salary: From £25,000 basic with uncapped commission.
