Role Description

This is a full-time, remote based role for a Case Underwriter. The Case Underwriter will be responsible for reviewing and assessing legal claims to determine their merits and financial viability for litigation funding. Tasks will include analyzing case-related documentation, liaising with legal representatives, conducting due diligence, and preparing underwriting reports. The role also involves continuous monitoring of funded cases to ensure alignment with the company's objectives. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is an essential part of this position.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to evaluate legal cases and financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and correspondence with stakeholders.
• Experience in legal or financial analysis, particularly in litigation funding and/or ATE underwriting.
• Knowledge of legal principles and processes, including civil litigation, case law, and dispute resolution.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to assess legal and financial aspects of cases effectively.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• A legal or financial qualification will be an advantage.
• Experience in or familiarity with the litigation funding sector preferred but not mandatory.
