We are working with a respected law firm who are seeking a Solicitor to join their expanding Private Law Children and Domestic Abuse team based in Bath.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and compassionate lawyer to handle a varied caseload of family law matters, with a particular focus on private children and domestic abuse work. The role offers strong supervision and support, making it ideal for those at the start or early stages of their family law career.

Typical duties would include:

  • Managing a caseload of legal aid and privately funded family law matters, under supervision.
  • Dealing directly with clients to provide clear, practical and empathetic legal advice.
  • Preparing cases for court, undertaking advocacy where appropriate, and negotiating effective solutions for clients.
  • Supporting partners and senior lawyers in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Contributing to the team's business development and marketing activities to enhance its reputation and reach.

The successful candidate:

  • A Qualified Solicitor with 0–5 years PQE, ideally with experience in private law, children and domestic abuse cases.
  • Has strong client management skills and a genuine commitment to delivering excellent client service.
  • Organised, proactive and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understands the importance of compliance, confidentiality and professional conduct.
  • A team player with a collaborative and supportive approach.
