Anglian Water is embarking on an ambitious logistic improvement programme which will deliver a modern, flexible and high quality solution which best serves our water network needs now and has the ability to adapt into the future when things change.

At the heart of this sits our newly build warehouse in Peterborough, we are finalising the build and equipping it now and the next step is recruiting staff to join our new team at all levels and  in a variety of roles.

These positions will be on a permanent basis and will be joining us at the very start of this exciting venture, it's our intention to dual train and invest in our people as we work together to provide a first class service set in a professional modern and happy workplace.

One of the key positions is to bring in a Logistics Warehouse Manager. The position will manage the Anglian Water Services (AWS) Central Distribution Centre (CDC) in support of day-to-day logistic operations and in support of incident response.

The CDC is the key hub and the largest within the AWS logistic network, the volume of material and support to the business it provides makes its effective operation vital to business success. The infrastructure, operational processes, staff and material held on stock form the scope of responsibility of the logistic warehouse manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the CDC in a safe manner

• Manage the CDC to operate in an efficient manner

• Support incident management and resilience activities

• Represent the logistic network during incident management procedures from within the CDC

• Take on periods of 24hr standby callout for emergency support incidents

• Manage the CDC staff training

• Manage the transport plan to facilitate the deliveries from the CDC

• Ensure that all vehicles are loaded to maximise the capacity in relation to the selected route.

• Microsoft O365 competent user

• SAP EEC 6 Competent user

• SAP s4 hana competent user (desirable but not essential)

• SAP WMs advanced user

• Generic WMs advanced user

• Logistic stock planning experience

• Logistic transport planning experience

• Logistic warehouse management experience

• Health and Safety at Work management experience

• MHE Licences – Counterbalance and reach truck (desirable but not essential)

• Staff management experience and leadership experience
