At Amora Care, we are committed to "walking the walk", and we do that by offering better pay, better training and better opportunities. This is what you get:

BETTER PAY - I know. Here you're thinking "£13.65ph… but company B are paying £16.50".. Yes, but do they pay for your driving time? Our rates start from £13.65 per hour AND you get paid £12.50p PLUS 50p per mile while driving. Let's work it out:

  • If you work an 8-hour home shift around Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding area, you'll easily end up driving for 2 hours, sometimes more Let's assume driving 30 miles for 2 hours and caring for 6 hours.. Sound familiar? Here is what your earnings look like:

Amora → care: £13.65 x 6 = £81.90, driving: £12.50 x 2 = £25, mileage: 30 x 0.50 = £15, total pay: £121.90

Company B paying £16.5ph+ 35p/mile → care: £16.50 x 6 = £99, mileage: 30 x 0.35 = £10.50, total pay: £109.50

Now - this is the worst-case scenario for us. In reality, you can end up driving more than 2 hours, very few companies pay £16.50ph AND we also pay better than most in the evenings, weekends and bank holidays.. So this shows you that at Amora, you will get at least 10% more than the competition

BETTER TRAINING - You will get a lot of support from our management team. We also have an in-house trainer, and you will receive a combination of in-person, on-the-job and online training. If you encounter something you're not familiar with, we'll get training for it and roll it out to the entire team

BETTER OPPORTUNITIES: Whether it's getting your NVQs (we currently have 4 staff members on their L3), progressing to leadership positions within the company or something else, we're there to support you
