About the Role
The Facilities Support Team at Haynes Motor Museum are recruiting a part time afternoon cleaner working Monday to Friday 1.30pm to 4.30pm during winter hours and pm during summer hours, this will include working one weekend in four. This is a key role in the Museum visitor's experience, supporting the whole Museum and providing the highest standard cleanliness and customer service to all visitors.

About Us
As one of the leading museums and visitor attractions in the South West, with 125,000 visitors annually, you will join a dynamic and engaged team of over 120 staff and volunteers. Haynes Motor Museum was established in 1985 by John Haynes OBE and is home to the UK's largest exhibition of cars and motorbikes dating from the present day back to 1898.
The Museum is a registered charity and has three core objectives:
- The Preservation and Conservation of our Collection
- Education which is delivered through multiple channels.
In support of the charity, the Museum also operates a Trading Company which comprises: Haynes Heritage Engineering, Conference and Events, Café 750 & The Museum Shop and Online Retail.
Responsibilities of the Role
- Working as part of the team, helping maintain high levels of cleanliness and customer service within the visitor attraction.
- Follow the cleaning schedules for the whole site and other areas when directed
- Ensure that all equipment is well maintained.
- Ensure that all rubbish bins are emptied, and rubbish is disposed of or recycled correctly in the appropriate bins
- Being able to undertake any additional duties as written in the cleaning schedule
- To report any maintenance issues to the line manager immediately
- All staff are expected to observe all health and safety at work regulations as set out in accordance with the Haynes Motor Museum's statutory obligations
- Report all accidents to your line manager
- Use all equipment as trained observing all safe practices, so that accidents are avoided
- Follow COSHH procedures
- Participate in health and safety and fire training as required
- Observe good personal hygiene and be always of well-groomed appearance
- Wear minimal make-up, jewellery, enclosed non-slip clean black shoes & clean clothing as per current dress code (uniform provided)

Hours & Structure
We have a part time position available 15 hours a week Monday to Friday between 1.30pm - 5.30pm including one weekend in four. This position will require working on a rota covering 5 days out of 7 and will include weekend cover.
