Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Patrol Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring designated areas, preventing theft and vandalism, and responding promptly to incidents. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and proactive surveillance are essential. The Patrol Officer will play a vital part in maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises, both on foot and via CCTV surveillance systems, to identify potential security threats or irregular activities.
  • Monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment to ensure continuous coverage of critical areas.
  • Detect and prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorised access through active loss prevention measures.
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary.
  • Maintain detailed logs of patrols, incidents, and observations in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assist in the enforcement of safety policies and procedures across the site.
  • Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services as required during incidents.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
  • Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques is essential.
  • Possession of valid first aid certification is highly desirable.
  • Excellent observational skills with the ability to detect suspicious activity promptly.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for reporting incidents accurately.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies.
  • Physical fitness to undertake patrol duties across various environments within the premises.
  • A clean criminal record and the ability to pass background checks are mandatory. This position offers a vital role within our organisation dedicated to safeguarding our people and property through vigilant patrols and proactive security measures.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: £12.21-£12.30 per hour
