Moon Intelligence is a founder-led, high-growth startup delivering innovative solutions to the sports betting industry since 2018. The business is built around predictive sports modelling – combining cutting-edge statistical techniques with an ever-expanding array of real-time data feeds, scraped inputs, and APIs to power accurate, scalable decision systems.

Our software engineering team is small, fast-paced, and trusted to build and ship critical systems. We work with a rich blend of live and historical sports data to power internal tools that support high-frequency decision-making. Engineers are hands-on with real-world problems and have the opportunity to influence how our systems evolve.

What You'll Work On

  • Develop, support, and enhance trading integrations using Python
  • Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver robust software solutions
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment to maintain high code quality and system stability

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • 2+ years of professional experience in Python development
  • Proficiency in Python, with exposure to DevOps practices and Linux environments
  • Solid understanding of databases and data structures
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Flexible mindset and the ability to adapt to different challenges
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership, and communicate effectively

Desirable Skills

  • Experience integrating with RESTful and streaming APIs
  • Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS
  • An interest in sports, trading, or analytics – not essential, but a bonus
