We have a fantastic opportunity to join the Payroll team at Greggs and really help maintain effective procedures and processes to ensure accurate and timely delivery of Payroll to more than 28,000 colleagues that are paid weekly across our Retail and Supply Chain

About the role
- This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) however flexibility in this will be considered
- We know that having a work-life balance is important, so we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible in line with the needs of their role
- The base location for this role is Head Office, Quorum Business Park, NE12 8BU
What you'll do
- End to End Payroll Processing
- Provide a high level of customer service and assist with queries both on the phone and on email
- Starters, Leavers, Maternity/Adoption/Paternity leave
- Tax code changes, Student Loans, Court Orders
- Leave of Absences, Dependency Leave, Bereavement leave, Sickness
- One-off Payments, Cycle to Work
- Interim Payments
- Third Party Payments
- Payslip Enquires
- Answer any HMRC Correspondence
- Take ownership of specific processes, maintaining documentation
- Identifying and implementing process changes
- Assist with overseeing the resolution of queries from employees relating to Payroll, recognising when to escalate
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, delivering agreed improvement initiatives
- Provide high standard of customer service, consistency with internal standards and operational compliance
About you
You will fit right into this role if you can demonstrate:
- Experience in operating within a payroll team
- Experience in a high-volume transaction processing environment
- SAP Payroll experience (desirable)
- CIPP Technician qualification (desirable)
- Technical knowledge in payroll reconciliation
- Excellent administration skills
- You are a strong team player, able to build good working relationships at all levels
- Good communication skills, with excellent customer service
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident user of all Microsoft Office tools
