NxtGen Energy is a growing renewable energy company specialising in the design and installation of Solar PV systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.

We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, efficient, and sustainable solar solutions. As our operations expand, we're looking for an experienced Installations / Operations Manager to oversee our Solar PV projects and installation teams. Role Overview We are seeking a hands-on, highly organised professional with a Solar PV or Electrical background to manage the day-to-day operations of our installation department.

You'll be responsible for scheduling, coordinating teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and to standard, and maintaining a strong focus on health and safety.

Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all Solar PV installation projects from planning to completion. Coordinate and supervise installation teams, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and compliance standards (MCS, NICEIC, etc.). Manage schedules, resources, and logistics to ensure efficient workflow. Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and office staff. Monitor project budgets and progress, reporting to senior management. Conduct site visits and technical assessments when required. Implement and maintain health and safety procedures on all projects. Drive operational improvements and efficiency across the installation process.

Requirements Proven experience in Solar PV installation, electrical contracting, or a similar field. Strong project management and team leadership skills.

Recognised Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3 / 18th Edition / similar) — preferred but not essential. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Knowledge of MCS standards, G99/G100, and solar system commissioning processes. Proficient with scheduling, project tracking, and reporting tools(e.g., Excel, CRM systems).

Full UK driving licence required.
