Our client is a
specialist advisory firm
operating in the energy and natural resources sector. The firm advises corporates, investors, and industry participants on mergers & acquisitions, capital markets, commercial strategy, and project development, with a strong focus on oil & gas and adjacent energy markets.
They are seeking an
Analyst
to join their team in London. This is an outstanding opportunity to work closely with senior professionals and gain broad exposure to transactions and strategic projects across the global energy industry.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will support senior advisers across both execution and business development activities. Responsibilities include:
- Building detailed financial and valuation models for M&A and strategic projects
- Conducting market, company, and asset research, and preparing concise commercial analysis
- Producing client presentations, pitchbooks, and supporting materials
- Assisting in business development, including opportunity identification and client outreach
- Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders throughout project delivery
Candidate Profile
Our client is seeking an analytically strong, commercially minded individual with
1–3 years of relevant experience
, ideally gained in one or more of the following areas:
- Business development or commercial roles within oil & gas companies (preferred)
- Consulting (Big 4 or strategy firms) with exposure to energy or commodities
- Commodity trading houses or trading desks
- Financial institutions with a focus on energy, commodities, or natural resources
Key skills and attributes:
- Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercial curiosity and attention to detail
- Proactive approach and ability to thrive in a small, entrepreneurial team
