Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced self employed HGV1 Tramper, over 30 years old, to join our team. This role involves long-distance driving, primarily using flats and curtainsider vehicles, to deliver goods across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to reliability and efficiency, ensuring that all deliveries are made on time while adhering to all regulations. A damage and accident free history along with a clean licence required. Also Driver CPC.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV1 vehicles for long-distance transportation of goods.
• Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, securing loads appropriately for transit.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working order.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, representing the company professionally at all times.

Experience

• Valid HGV1 driving licence with a clean driving record is essential.
• Previous experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with vehicles and their specific handling requirements is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in the transport industry.
