Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our children's care home. The successful candidate will support the management team in delivering high-quality assisted living services, ensuring the well-being, safety, and comfort of young people. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in children residential care

Duties

  • Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of personalised care plans
  • Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols and maintain accurate records.
  • Lead by example in delivering compassionate, person-centred care tailored to individual needs.
  • Monitor residents' health and wellbeing, escalating concerns to healthcare professionals as necessary.
  • Support staff training programmes and organise supervision sessions to ensure high standards of care delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, infection control procedures, and confidentiality regulations.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership skills with previous supervising or management experience within a care home or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and care planning processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life.
  • Relevant qualifications in nursing or healthcare management are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
