London, Greater London, United Kingdom Momentm | Development Consultancy Full time

The Role

We're looking for a Development Manager (Assistant to Senior DM level) to run their own portfolio of major residential schemes.

This isn't a "supporting" role. You'll have direct ownership, direct accountability, and direct client relationships from day one.

The projects:

You'll be managing 80+ unit residential schemes across the UK for institutional funds and major developers. Our portfolio spans the country – many schemes in the West, but projects nationwide including a flagship development in London. These are substantial, high-profile residential developments requiring hands-on, senior-led delivery.

What you'll do:

  • Manage your own sites
    – direct ownership of major residential schemes from inception through to practical completion
  • Fund monitoring & governance
    – providing clients with clear, actionable visibility (not 50-page reports no one reads)
  • Due diligence
    – assessing new opportunities, interrogating risks, advising on site feasibility
  • Client-facing delivery
    – you'll be the trusted point of contact, building relationships through consistently excellent delivery
  • Monthly site meetings
    – regular site visits to keep projects on track and maintain relationships with contractors and consultants
  • Remote working 2-3 days per week
    – flexibility to work from home when not at meetings or on site

Location:
UK-based, location flexible. Must be able to travel to London 1-2 days per week when not on site, plus regular travel to project sites for monthly meetings.

Who We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven track record delivering major residential schemes (multi-unit, ideally institutional-backed)
  • Strong commercial and contractual understanding
  • Confidence managing consultants, contractors, and stakeholders
  • Problem-solver mindset – you find solutions, not excuses
  • Self-sufficient and comfortable with direct accountability
  • Eligible to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience with fund monitoring or development management for institutional clients
  • Knowledge of affordable housing, shared ownership, or grant-funded delivery
  • Familiarity with modern project management tools and tech-enabled delivery

Why Momentm?

Flat structure:
No hierarchy nonsense. Your voice matters. Your ideas get heard and acted on. We're building this together.

Make a real difference:
You'll shape how we work, influence our direction, and build processes that actually make sense. This isn't about fitting into someone else's system.

Pushing boundaries:
We're running this like a software startup – tech-enabled delivery, fast iteration, constant innovation. Modern tools, not Excel from 2003.

Senior-led culture:
Work alongside experienced professionals who know what they're doing. No babysitting graduates while you firefight.

Ground floor opportunity:
Get in early. As we grow, you grow. Add clients? You're rewarded. Deliver brilliantly? You're rewarded. Real equity in the business we're building.

Genuine work-life balance:
Remote working 2-3 days per week. Flexibility to manage your own time. We trust you to get the work done.
