An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Targeted Intervention Coordinator to join a dynamic team committed to supporting young people who have been affected by their own or someone else's drug and/or alcohol issues.
The post holder will be responsible for delivering educational, preventative and targeted work to young people across Warwickshire in an attempt to ensure positive outcomes for all young people where substance misuse has the potential to be an issue.
Where: Rugby (role will be Countywide)
Hours: days a week
Salary: £27,861.26 – £32,002.35* (based on full time hours, pro rata for part time)
Role: Permanent
*Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
About the role:
Lead and maintain the coordination of an effective Targeted Interventions service across the Service areaWork alongside the service manager / team leader to identify partners and work together to develop localised pathways that ensure young people are screened for substance misuseDevelop and deliver group work programmes for targeted groups of young people engaging in risk taking behaviourRecruit, coordinate and support volunteers and peer mentors to maximise the provision of information, advice and guidanceAnalyse data to identify gaps in provision and areas where the service can make a positive impactCoordinate service requests for targeted activity and ensure timely and adequate cover by staff and volunteersEnsure that safeguarding practice is embedded across all targeted interventions activity and to work with the Designated Safeguarding lead to escalate any safeguarding concernsWhere appropriate, assist and carry out appropriate screening processes including DBST, urine and saliva tests, after completion of appropriate training or demonstration of relevant experienceTo carry out key harm reduction strategies such as facilitating supported access to Needle Exchange and distribution of Naloxone, after completion of appropriate training or demonstration of relevant experienceAbout you:
Experience and knowledge of working with young people under 18Experience and knowledge of working with young people who use drugs or alcoholExperience of developing group work programmes and/or facilitating groupsExperience of delivering training programmesExperience of supporting and/or managing volunteers, peer mentors and studentsA clear understanding of the need for, and ability to deliver, quality servicesA knowledge of issues facing young people todayExperience of identifying, liaising and working with professionals from a variety of servicesCommitment to involve service users in service development strategy development and initiating changeKnowledge of drug and alcohol related problems their impact upon individuals, families and communitiesWhat we will give to you:
