Job Title: Domestic Gas Heating Installation Engineer (Sub Contractors only)

Location: Various - West London, NW, SW, HA and HP post code areas

Reporting to: Installations Manager

Salary: Schedule of rates on application

Overall Purpose:

Using industry knowledge, ACS qualifications and work experience to ensure the highest standards of gas safety are achieved on every job, in any premises.

Installers will need to have at least 3 years' experience in all aspects of domestic heating installation and operation.

Hours are Monday - Friday 8.00 am to 5.00 pm (1-hour break)

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Like for Like" boiler replacements.
  • Conversions i.e.
  • Heat only to Combi,
  • heat only to system boiler,
  • BBU to heat only or
  • Combi etc.
  • All works should be carried out to a professional standard and within a reasonable timescale.
  • Carry out minor making good relating to installation to a good standard.
  • Liaise with the area supervisor and/or the office with any issues relating to the installation.
  • Fully commission all installed works, carry out Landlords Gas Safety Checks and complete all appropriate documents i.e. Benchmarks etc.

Minimum Qualifications Required;

  • CNN1 Core Gas Safety
  • Flue Gas Analysis
  • CENWAT (Boilers and Water Heaters)
  • Fires
  • Cookers
  • G3 Unvented Cylinders
  • Building Regulations

Required Attributes

  • Thorough and up to date gas safety knowledge and qualifications.
  • Full responsibility for gas safety and Health & Safety issues, whilst lone working.
  • Clear and logical decision-making skills.
  • Confident approach to normal and challenging situations
  • Ability to use technology effectively (PDA,FGA).
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Consideration of specialist customers (disabled/elderly/minors/pets).
  • A Valid DBS Check
