Working from our premises in Aylsham with a family owned company , to handle PMI'S (Inspections) M.O.T's, to assist in repairs to ensure fleet is run to industry standards rectifying defects . HGV/PCV mechanical experience preferred .

You will be working alongside our senior Technician and also other staff who will be there to help if required .

Some training can be provided if needed with working on mainly PCV Vehicles which will include ,inspections , diagnostics , and repairing faults or replacing parts .

Driver training can be provided also if PCV licence is required for the right candidate as PCV licence not totally essential though preferrable.

We are looking for someone keen on developing their skill and future training and development courses are given also.

Good rates of weekly pay (£ but will depend on experience but can be discussed.

Summary

As a PCV Fitter / HGV Fitter, you will be integral to the maintenance and repair of commercial vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards. Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you will utilize your core skills in hand tools, fabrication, and welding to perform high-quality repairs. A valid PCV licence would be preferrable and some mechanical knowledge is required to excel in this role, alongside relevant skills, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of our fleet.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize hand tools and power tools for the assembly and fabrication of components.
  • Perform welding tasks, including TIG and stick welding, to ensure structural integrity.
  • Conduct mechanical inspections and repairs, applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with PCV licensing requirements during all fitting operations.
