About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team in Yeovil. You will provide high-quality, person-centred support to young adults with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs, helping them develop independence, confidence, and life skills. This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference in the lives of those you support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist young adults with daily living skills, personal care, and independence development
- Support educational and therapeutic programmes as directed by specialists
- Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
- Follow behaviour support plans and ensure consistency in care
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and multi-disciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with organisational standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting young adults with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs is highly desirable
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable with excellent communication skills
- Flexible and adaptable to shift patterns, including evenings and sleep-in duties if required
- Team player with the ability to follow structured plans and guidance
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow in a specialist environment
