They are looking for a Liquidity Regulatory Reporting Manager to join the Finance Team on a 6 month contract. The position is based at their Manchester offices, hybrid working – you will be required to be in the office 4 days a week, 1 day working from home. Standard office hours however there is the need to work outside of these hours during busy period.
Daily Duties Include:
- Delivering liquidity regulatory submissions for EMEA locations, including oversight and review of external and internal monitoring deliverables and responding supporting ad-hoc regulatory queries within prescribed regulatory deadlines.
- Reporting
– oversee the production of high-quality regulatory returns, understanding variances and MI in a timely fashion, ensuring that the EMEA region meets reporting deadlines and quality expectations. - Oversight & Controls
– maintain a strong operational control environment with well-evidenced reviews, checklists and procedures. Adherence to regulatory governance policies. - Stakeholder management
– work with market centre financial controller owners across the EMEA regions and other business areas particularly Corporate Treasury, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Business Finance and business management in the production of regulatory and liquidity returns. - Leadership
– has management responsibility ensuring that day-to-day work is completed accurately and timely. Acts as a role model within the EMEA Finance Professional Service Centre function and supports business strategy. - Projects and change
– assist with regulatory change projects and initiatives to support the business strategy as regards to liquidity regulatory reporting and compliance with new regulatory rules and advisory work on business changes and restructures, platform migration, legal entity restructuring and new branches, new business start-ups and product launches. - Data validation
– maintain strong operational control over data consumption and data production and through reporting e.g. completion of certification, understanding variances and checklists to the required level. - Support, advice and education
- to business and business partners departments on the impact of new business and new regulatory rules.
- Knowledge
– stay abreast of legislative and regulatory developments, as well as maintain their knowledge of external reporting requirements and procedures. - Continuous-improvement
– lead automation and improvement initiatives, delivering quantifiable evolution of reporting.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Regulatory Reporting Expertise:
Proven experience in preparing and reviewing liquidity regulatory returns (e.g., LCR, NSFR, ALMM) in line with EMEA regulatory frameworks (CRR/CRD, Basel III, PRA, EBA). - Financial & Treasury Knowledge:
Strong understanding of liquidity risk management, balance sheet structure, and funding strategies within a banking environment. - Data Analysis & Interpretation:
Advanced Excel skills and ability to analyse large datasets, identify variances, and produce accurate MI. Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous. - Operational Control & Governance:
Demonstrated ability to maintain robust control environments, including documented reviews, checklists, and adherence to governance policies. - Project & Change Management:
Experience leading regulatory change initiatives, system migrations, and process automation projects. Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile or Waterfall) preferred. - Stakeholder Management:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and senior leadership teams. - Leadership:
Proven track record of managing and developing teams, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of work, and acting as a role model within the organization. - Regulatory Knowledge:
Up-to-date understanding of legislative and regulatory developments impacting liquidity reporting.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting platforms (e.g., AxiomSL, Moody's or similar).
- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CFA, or equivalent.
- Experience in audit processes and responding to regulatory inspections.
- Exposure to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
