Overview:

Cafea UK is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Consultant to support and improve our end-to-end supply chain processes during a key period of change. This is an initial 3-month contract, with the possibility of extension to 6 months, focused on automating our forecasting and process planning to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

We are seeking a supply chain expert who can quickly understand our mix of SAP and manual processes, diagnose areas of improvement and implement automated solutions. A particular priority will be to embed the coffee buying process into SAP and is fit for the purpose of accurately forecasting our raw coffee demand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide expert guidance on supply chain best practice and opportunities for process simplification and greater effectiveness.
  • Review and map existing supply chain forecasting and planning processes.
  • Identify process improvements and work closely with the supply chain team to implement greater automation into all our internal planning processes.
  • Lead the integration of the planning of coffee production within SAP — including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, and rollout.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Managing Director to align system improvements with business objectives.
  • Optimise SAP workflows and master data to support accurate forecasting, purchasing, and stock management.
  • Develop clear documentation and provide training to internal teams on new or revised processes.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as an FMCG Supply Chain consultant, used to operating at Leadership Team level.
  • SAP expert-level knowledge — strong hands-on experience in configuration, troubleshooting, and data analysis (particularly in Materials Management / Production Planning / Sales & Distribution modules).
  • Strong understanding of supply chain forecasting, planning, procurement, and materials management.
  • Track record of improving or embedding processes within SAP.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and influence at all levels.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, able to deliver tangible improvements in a short timeframe.
