Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and allocate incoming payments accurately and promptly
  • Reconcile customer accounts, ensuring all transactions are correctly recorded
  • Monitor daily bank receipts and support the finance team in cash flow management
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and unallocated cash
  • Work closely with the credit control, billing, and customer service teams to maintain accurate customer account data
  • Assist in the preparation of month-end reports and reconciliations
  • Support continuous improvement in payment and reconciliation processes

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in a payments administration, accounts receivable, or finance support role (1 years' experience essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation
  • Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with financial systems or accounting software
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude
  • Experience in the utilities or water sector is advantageous but not essential
