Overview

Following contract wins, we are seeking reliable Delivery Driver to join our team of 2 person crews, covering 4-6 days per week including Saturdays when required. Experience is essential and no application without the relevant experience will be accepted.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing exceptional service while ensuring timely and accurate deliveries - not everything is controllable, a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt is essential.

This position will be driving a 3.5t van and delivering a mix of furniture, white goods and larger Ecommerce parcels to residential and business addresses as part of a 2 man team. For insurance purposes you must be over 30 with a clean driving history.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload items, which may involve heavy lifting, ensuring that all goods are handled with care.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining signatures and documenting any issues encountered during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Experience essential of 2 man work - preferably with wet installations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, with a strong understanding of driving protocols.
  • A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicle type is essential; commercial driving experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is beneficial.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
  • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
