AI/ML Engineer

About the Role

Ember Software is looking for an experienced AI Engineer to join one of our clients on a contract basis. You'll design, develop, and deploy intelligent systems that leverage machine learning, natural language processing, and modern AI frameworks to solve real-world problems within the finance sector. This role is outside IR35, this role is fully remote within the UK or Europe.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement machine learning models and AI-driven applications

Collaborate with software and data engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into production systems

Pre-process and analyse large datasets to extract insights and improve model performance

Deploy and monitor models using Azure Machine Learning, TensorFlow Serving, or similar platforms

Evaluate and implement new AI tools, frameworks, and technologies

Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Key Skills & Experience

Proven experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role

Strong proficiency with Python and ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn

Experience building and deploying models in Azure or other cloud environments

Familiarity with MLOps, data pipelines, and API integration

Understanding of NLP, computer vision, or generative AI is a plus

Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset

Contract Details

Location: London (remote-first with occasional on-site collaboration)

Rate: £600 per day

IR35 Status: Outside IR35

Duration: 12 months (with potential extension)
