Support a bright, engaging man in his 30s who uses a specialist powered wheelchair due to a physical disability. With your calm, caring presence, you'll help him maintain independence and enjoy daily life in his peaceful, adapted property.

This role is especially well‑suited if you're seeking consistent hours that fit around childcare and family life. Applicants must also be 25+ for insurance purposes to drive the adapted vehicle.

About the Role

We're looking for a reliable, empathetic, and soft-spoken individual to provide support in a calm, well-kept home environment. You'll need initiative, compassion, a smart professional appearance and the ability to support a varied daily routine.

Driving is central to this role, so confidence and a genuine love of driving behind the wheel are essential. You'll be fully insured to drive the service user in his adapted vehicle.

Select the Schedule That Works Best for You

Option 1 – Ideal in School/Nursery Hours + Just Two Sundays a Month

• Wednesday: 09:00 – 16:30
• Friday: 09:00 – 16:30
• Sunday: 14:00 – 20:00

Option 2 – Ideal in School/Nursery Hours + Weekly Sundays

• Wednesday: 09:00 - 15:00
• Friday: 09:00 - 15:00
• Sunday: 14:00 - 20:00

We're open to some flexibility in shift times and hours, including Sundays, while ensuring the service user's needs are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote independence and build confidence
• Provide personal care, including toileting, bathing, and dressing
• Transport and accompany to medical appointments
• Carry out light household tasks and odd job errands
• Accompany on uplifting activities: scenic drives, coffee shops, garden centres, local attractions, seasonal markets, festive displays, and gentle seaside walks

Location Requirements

Applicants must live within a 12-mile radius of Accrington, including areas such as Blackburn and Rossendale. Applications outside this radius will not be considered.
