Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our company . The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Proficiency in accounting software Xero is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update financial records.
  • Process supplier payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Submit Quarterly VAT Returns
  • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Provide support for payroll processing and related tasks as needed.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
  • Manage Factoring
  • Dealing with both Sales and Purchase Ledger
  • Chasing debt
  • Maintaining filing systems, both electronic and paper-based, ensuring all documents are organised and easily accessible
  • Help with adhoc office jobs when required

Requirements

  • 3 years experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting department.
  • Experience using Xero is essential .
  • Knowledge of DEXT is preferred but not Essential
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Factoring process is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Hours - 9am - 4.30pm (30Mins lunch) 21 Hours per week

Days - 2 days a week

Rate: £15.50 Per Hour

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From £15.50 per hour
