Neulinx are partnering with a Series A health tech startup on the search for their first dedicated
Lead QA Engineer
. This is a standout opportunity to join a mission-led team building AI-powered tools used by clinicians across the world. With fresh funding secured and the engineering function expanding rapidly, this role will play a central part in how the organisation ensures quality, safety and reliability as they scale.

You'll be joining a small but high-performing engineering group, working closely with frontend, backend and mobile developers, alongside clinicians who help shape product direction. This is the kind of role where your work has direct real-world impact, ensuring the platform remains robust for the thousands of healthcare professionals relying on it daily.

The Role

As Lead QA, you'll be responsible for defining, executing and elevating quality processes across the product. You'll work across manual, exploratory and automated testing to ensure every release meets the highest standard of reliability.

What you'll be doing


• Designing, executing and maintaining manual test cases


• Creating and maintaining automated test suites using tools such as Cypress or Detox


• Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines


• Conducting API testing using Postman


• Collaborating with engineers to identify, reproduce and resolve defects early


• Performing exploratory, usability and cross-browser testing across web and mobile


• Improving QA processes and increasing automation coverage across the stack

Key Skills & Experience

Essential


• 4+ years QA experience across manual + automation


• Strong understanding of testing methodologies and defect management


• Proficient with automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright or Selenium


• Experience testing APIs, web apps and ideally mobile apps


• Comfortable working within CI/CD and Git workflows


• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset


• Ownership mentality with focus on continuous improvement

Bonus


• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript-based automation


• Familiarity with clinical or regulated environments


• Interest or background in health tech
