£150m turnover specialist in commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK. Due to continued expansion and a prestigious pipeline of secured work, are seeking a
Project Director
to lead the delivery of a commercial fit-out scheme based in
Hertfordshire
.

This is a senior leadership role, ideal for a confident, commercially astute professional with a strong track record in high-value CAT A and CAT B fit-outs.

The Role

As
Project Director
, you will have overall responsibility for the successful delivery of a flagship project from pre-construction through to completion. You'll be expected to drive quality, programme, commercial performance, and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading all aspects of project delivery for a commercial fit-out (circa £10m+)
  • Managing project teams including Project Managers, Site Managers, Commercial, and Design leads
  • Acting as primary point of contact for the client and professional team
  • Driving high standards of health & safety, quality, and compliance
  • Overseeing cost control, subcontractor performance, and programme milestones
  • Ensuring client expectations are exceeded and repeat business is secured

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in fit-out/refurbishment projects
  • Proven leadership of £10m+ commercial projects (ideally in a live environment)
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and contractual obligations
  • Excellent client-facing skills and stakeholder management
  • Strong understanding of design & build contracts
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS Black/White card, degree or HNC in Construction Management or related field)
