Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to work in a lively environment where hospitality and attentiveness are key. All positions are paid, and previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential. A friendly demeanour and good organisational skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately
  • Take orders from customers and provide friendly, attentive service
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glasses and cleaning surfaces
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
  • Manage cash and card transactions accurately using the till system
  • Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
  • Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the start and end of shifts
  • Engage with customers to create a welcoming environment and promote ongoing patronage

Skills

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
  • Excellent serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Strong time management abilities to handle busy periods efficiently
  • Organised with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
  • Good communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
  • Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional attitude
