Sort Team Manager – Parcel Sort Centre

Location: Wednesbury Sort Centre (Yodel site)

Salary: £30,231 pa

Shift Pattern: Sunday - Thursday 09:00 - 17:30 (40hrs)

Contract: Permanent

What You'll Be Doing

As a Team Manager in our Sort Operation, you will:

  • Play a key role in ensuring the smooth, timely, and safe processing of parcels through the Sort Centre
  • Coordinate and control daily parcel operations to ensure efficient distribution in line with Yodel's operational procedures
  • Maintain the highest standards of site performance, safety, and productivity
  • Provide leadership and support to Team Leaders and Sort staff
  • Allocate resources and assign tasks effectively across the team
  • Monitor team performance, address any issues, and ensure targets are met
  • Resolve staffing or operational problems to keep the sortation process running smoothly
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Team Managers and Sort Managers to ensure seamless handovers and shift continuity
  • Contribute to operational consistency and excellence across the Wednesbury Hub

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Proven team leadership experience in a fast-paced Distribution, Parcel, or Logistics environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices.
  • Confidence in basic administration tasks and operational reporting.
  • Clear and effective communication skills—both verbal and written.
  • The right to work in the UK (with supporting documentation).
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work under pressure.
