Job Overview
Rebound Care and Support are seeking to recruit flexible, compassionate, dedicated and experienced Brain injury support workers to support our client. Our client is a male who is in his 40's. He sustained a traumatic brain injury two years ago in a road traffic accident (RTA) and is a double amputee on the right side.
Our client lives in Ilkeston and you will be working on a 1:1 basis. The role will focus on providing personalised support to enhance his independence, daily structure, respecting boundaries, wellbeing and community engagement.
Due to client needs, we are seeking a female support worker who holds a valid driving licence, as our client uses a Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) to attend activities and appointments.
We are looking for someone who will be able to do 1 to 2 24 hour shifts per week.
Hours:
Mon – Sun 24h shifts 08:00 – 08:00 (alternate weekends will be required).
Pay:
Mon – Fri £381.60
Sat - £391.10
Sun - £412.10
Responsibilities
- Following personalised support plans and risk assessments,
- Assist individuals in accessing community to improve their quality of life,
- Support individuals in setting and achieving their personal goals,
- Provide guidance and support to the client, ensuring best practices and a person-centered approach,
- Assist with medication management and help service users attend health appointments,
- Ensure accurate record-keeping of all support provided, maintaining professional and respectful documentation.
Experience
- We are looking for supportive, patient and committed team members to provide the care during the day and evening. The Ideal candidates will need to have experience in working with BI clients, moving and handling, attention to detail and have a can-do attitude.
Training & Background Checks
An enhanced DBS check & full training will be provided prior to commencing work with our client and you will also be supported by our clinical lead nurse for the area.
