What You Will Enjoy Doing
- A Maintenance Technician, is required to work as part of a team on a double day shift pattern, to provide both Reactive and PPM maintenance
- Lead the maintenance and repair of pumps, pipework, valves, and other mechanical systems critical to our thermal spray operations
- You will carry out fabrication and fitting tasks including welding, bracketry, and bespoke mechanical setups
- Support with electrical troubleshooting on machinery and assist with minor panel and control work
- Maintain a strong safety-first mindset, ensuring compliance with procedures and proactively identifying risks
- Respond quickly to breakdowns and keep equipment running efficiently through planned and preventative maintenance utilizing company maintenance software
- Also, you will contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring faults and recommending robust fixes
What Makes You Great
- To succeed in this position you will have a mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience in an industrial setting
- You have a strong mechanical skillset e.g. pumps, pipework, plumbing, welding, and fabrication
- You have good electrical knowledge e.g. able to fault-find, isolate safely, and support minor electrical repairs
- You are comfortable working with high-pressure systems and safety-critical equipment (e.g., compressed gases, thermal spray booths)
- Experience with planned and reactive maintenance in a manufacturing or process environment is desirable
- You will ideally be from a manufacturing, process, or engineering background (thermal spray, coatings, or chemical process would be a bonus)
