About the Role

We are looking for a keen up and coming Aviation Engine Maintenance Apprentice to join our team to support the most exciting engine platforms in the defence sector, – the legendary F/A 18 Super Hornet's F414 engine, the M1 Abrams AGT1500 Tank engine and the F135 engine that powers the most advanced fifth-generation fighter in the world – the F35 Lightning II.

Your duties include:

Performing heavy engine maintenance activities including strip, detailed inspection, and assemblyEnsuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with approved publications, technical data, and work instructionsMaintaining documentation of work in progressPerforming maintenance supervisory/inspection duties as specified by aviation regulatorsContinually looking for way to improve in efficiency and effectivenessTaking all reasonable steps to ensure own safety and the safety of others

Skills And Experiences

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Completed the theory component of Certificate IV mechanical trade qualificationExperience with strip, inspection and assembly of mechanical aviation components in a training or work experience environment.Awareness of airworthiness rules and regulatory requirementsAwareness of recording in Aviation maintain documentationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to read and interpret technical manuals to meet regulatory requirementsA passion and drive to deliver to keep their customers flying
