A talented and motivated Chemotherapy Quality Manager is sought to continue developing our quality management system and drive service improvement within the Chemotherapy Service. The post holder will be required to support our Chemotherapy Governance processes as well as lead on and support projects within the service.
The post holder should have excellent IT skills, be well organized and methodical with good communicate skills. On the job training for the Quality Management software will be provided where required.
- The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and continual development of the Quality Management System, in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary Chemotherapy team.
- The postholder will ensure compliance with new healthcare regulations, standards, and policies (e.g. UK SACT board).
- Support the development of PPGs relating to the safe prescribing, screening and administration of SACT, as well as developing and maintaining governance frameworks that clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision-making processes.
- Oversee all SACT related incidents and facilitating a multi-disciplinary review of reported incidents, errors and near misses. Ensuring incidents are investigated in a timely fashion, and that they are tracked and trended to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure learning is shared across the service to improve patient safety, clinical quality, and service delivery.
- The postholder also supports the identification of training needs, in relation to any audit recommendations, incident reports or development of new policies, procedures and guidelines.
- The postholder will also be required to manage their own sub-team including an including an Assistant Quality Manager and Project Support Administrator.
