Data Privacy Business Partner
We are an ambitious, forward-thinking global business that builds transformative solutions for our customers in mobility, connectivity, and technology. We operate across multiple regions, with a shared commitment to innovation, compliance, and customer trust.
Our data-driven services mean we process large volumes of customer and employee information globally — making data protection a cornerstone of our reputation and regulatory compliance. We're now seeking a Data Privacy Business Partner to help us strengthen and mature our global data protection programme.
Job DescriptionJob Purpose
The Data Privacy Manager will support the Group DPO in managing and improving Radius' global data protection framework.
This role will focus on ensuring compliance with the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and other relevant international privacy laws, while enabling the business to operate confidently and responsibly.
You will act as a subject matter expert for data protection operations — leading day-to-day privacy activities such as handling data subject access requests (DSARs), conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), managing the Record of Processing Activities (ROPA), supporting training and awareness, and advising business teams on privacy-by-design principles.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Framework
- Maintain and enhance the Group Data Protection Framework, policies, and procedures across all divisions.
- Support the DPO in reviewing and updating privacy governance structures to ensure global alignment and local compliance.
- Oversee the maintenance of Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and ensure documentation remains current and accurate.
- Support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) and advise on mitigations and control design
- Deputise for the Group DPO where relevant.
Operational Data Protection
- Manage and respond to data subject rights requests (DSARs), including access, erasure, and rectification requests.
- Support the investigation and response to personal data breaches, ensuring timely escalation and reporting to the DPO.
- Coordinate privacy reviews for new products, systems, and suppliers to ensure data protection by design and by default.
- Support cross-border data transfer assessments and ensure compliant use of transfer mechanisms.
Advisory & Collaboration
- Serve as the first point of contact for business and operational teams seeking advice on privacy matters.
- Work closely with all Divisional teams, with focus on IT, Information Security, Legal, People, and Marketing functions to ensure privacy compliance is embedded into day-to-day operations.
- Support vendor management processes by conducting privacy due diligence on third-party suppliers and processors.
- Provide structured privacy reporting and insights to senior stakeholders.
Training & Awareness
- Develop and deliver data protection training materials and awareness campaigns across all business units.
- Maintain training completion records and support divisional compliance attestations.
- Contribute to internal communications and updates to promote a culture of data protection awareness.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Support privacy audits, assurance reviews, and monitoring activities to evaluate compliance effectiveness.
- Provide metrics and management information to the DPO and senior leadership.
- Assist in regulatory interactions or information requests from data protection authorities when required.
- Lead horizon scanning to identify and assess upcoming data protection regulatory developments and their business impact.
What You Will Bring
- Strong working knowledge of UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and understanding of other global data privacy frameworks.
- Proven operational experience managing data protection compliance within a multinational organisation.
- Hands-on experience managing DSARs, DPIAs, breach responses, and ROPAs.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a pragmatic, risk-based approach.
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable business guidance.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across different cultures and functions.
- Experience of ISO 27701, ISO 27701, or similar standards (desirable).
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Data Privacy.
- Strong understanding of privacy technologies, IT security controls, and data governance tools.
- Relevant certification desirable but not essential.
What can you expect of us?
- A friendly culture that mirrors our proposition to our customers.
- A fast-growing organisation that defines itself as being agile and innovative
- A drive for continuous improvement, which you will be empowered to get behind from day one.
- A commitment to building a working environment that values inclusivity, innovation, agility, and drive
And of course, you will be compensated competitively along with bonus potential and a good range of core benefits
